I’m currently an inmate at the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. For the record, however, I’m not here for a crime of moral turpitude, but rather I’m here as a result of too many beers over too many years, some hometown politics and a questionable police chase. Needless to say, like most prisoners, I hope to someday be freed and I continue to fight for my freedom today and ultimately, I feel I’ll prevail.
As one might imagine, being an aspiring author in a prison setting presents its own unique challenges, including the limitation of a computerless environment and often having to write in hostile and tense conditions. Thankfully, to counter that, I’m blessed to have a loving and supportive family and friends.
I’m young at heart, a people person, animal lover; in the courts, fighting for freedom. Ranch owner and aspiring author of fiction. Future goals include converting ranch into a non-profit animal sanctuary devoted to mainly ranch and farm animals with the ultimate goal of passing it on to someone young and enthusiastic.
I enjoy grilling, fishing, dancing, snowboarding, skiing or heading to the beach. I’m looking to make new friends/relationships. I’m easy-going and laid back with a good sense of humor, quick to laugh, quick to smile. My hometown is Austin, Texas, the ranch is an hour East in Lexington, Texas. I’m an avid reader, favorites include James Lee Burke, Tami Hoag, Denis Lehane, Sandra Brown, Harlen Coben and Janet Evanovich. My favorite all-time show is Seinfeld; favorite meal – prime rib medium rare, peel and eat shrimp, fresh corn and a nice salad. Music likes include live music, Classic Rock, Country, Alternative, Pop, and the Blues. Favorite hole in the wall club – The Continental Club, Austin. Favorite event – Austin City Limits Music Festival. Split my time between Austin and the ranch. At the ranch there’s swimming, horseback riding, playing on the tractor, feeding and caring for the animals, shooting pool, grilling or enjoying the deck or porch while listening to music and visiting with friends.
Finally, I’m a hopeless romantic of sorts. In closing, I’d love to hear from you.
