About Us

Welcome to Loveaprisoner.com! Our primary goal is to help inmates receive letters from pen pals. We post their personal profiles, photos and contact information on Loveaprisoner.com. You, the viewer, can then select which prisoners you would like to correspond with. You will find a broad range of prison pen pals on Loveaprisoner.com. We host profiles for inmates on death row, in maximum-security prisons, county jails, and more. Our primary goal at loveaprisoner.com is to help inmates find new friends

Many of these prisoners never get mail. A pen pal may be the only relationship they have outside prison, and your letters give them something to look forward to. These prisoners have publish their photograph and information about themselves, and have invited YOU into their lives. Studies prove that recidivism is lower when inmates have folks on the outside taking an interest in them. When you write a prisoner it is an act of faith – faith that you can reach out and make a positive difference in another person’s life.

A prisoner’s contact with the outside world is a positive factor, especially if that contact is with someone willing to encourage the prisoner to assess their past life and bring about the change necessary for him or her to lead a productive existence when released and it is to our benefit that we give these prisoners hope and friendship by sending a letter or two every couple of weeks letting them know that there is a better way to live their lives than committing crimes, using drugs, or returning to live behind prison walls. Thus, a simple letter from someone who cares could be the beginning of a prisoner’s journey to a better life. Please be kind enough to care and select a prison pen pal today!

You will find that Loveaprisoner.com has become the channel on the Internet for all prison-related issues. We’re dedicated to help bring forth change that will help educate, train, reform and ultimately reduce our inmate population. We at Loveaprisoner.com want to make certain that the inmates have a life to go out to when their time is up.

We want you to understand that the nature of this website is not to disregard the fact that people are sent to prison as a form of punishment for the crimes that they committed. That being said, they are also sent there for correction and rehabilitation. Approximately 90 percent of them will be released someday. We help provide a means for those wanting to change in order to be prepared for their ultimate release. We at Loveaprisoner.com feel that we have an opportunity, even an obligation, to help facilitate positive change in the prison system today.

Every inmate in prison today will be returning to society at some point or another. If you will invest some of your time and compassion, together we can make sure that not only will many of them return to us as productive members of society, but they will not return to the prison system repeatedly, as has become the trend in recent years.
