Hi there, my name is Brian Hood and it’s so nice to meet you! I’m a fun and outgoing charismatic person who’s passionate about people, relationships, and the Word of God. I spend much of my time working towards my BA, while helping care for the elderly/disabled offenders who are unable to preform daily living tasks on their own. When I’m not doing that, I enjoy just hanging out on the phone, watching movies, learning new things, and helping others. Whether that’s creating positive content to share, or organizing fun and engaging events for our patients here. It hasn’t always been like this however, having matured in prison over the last 20+ years, I’ve made many mistakes along the way. Oddly enough, when looking back, its through my mistakes that I’m able to see my greatest moments of growth as a man. My appreciation of love and human compassion came about through years of selfish ambition and violence. In the same way, my ability to forgive others arrived only through the revelation of my own need to be forgiven. Call me optimistic but, I think its amazing how our mistakes can be the very springboards that qualify us for a higher calling. Needless to say I’m really excited about the future opportunities before me, in early 24 Ill be seeing the parole board and am anticipating a favorable release date. Once home, my goal is to eventually work with youth and young adults in a Christ centered setting. I also look forward to experiencing so many new things with family and friends.
